Polyurethane delayed catalyst

A delayed catalyst is a type of catalyst used in the production of polyurethane. They effectively catalyze the reaction between isocyanates and hydroxyl groups, but they only start to work when they are activated by a specific stimulus. This stimulus can be heat, light or a chemical reaction.

Delay catalysts are used in polyurethane systems where a delay between mixing of the components and initiation of the curing reaction is desired. This delay can be used to mix multiple components, place the polyurethane in the mold, or transport the polyurethane to the curing location.

Delayed catalysts come in many forms, including liquids, solids, and pastes. They can be added to polyurethane systems as individual components or premixed with one of the components.

Selecting a delayed catalyst for a particular polyurethane application depends on many factors, including the desired properties of the final product, the cost of the catalyst, and the environmental impact of the manufacturing process.

Delayed catalysts are an important part of polyurethane production. They allow the production of a wide range of products with various properties.
