Polyurethane Elastomers (PU Elastomers)
(1), Casting Polyurethane Elastomers (referred to as CPU) Casting Polyurethane Elastomers are poured by liquid resin and reacted to shape by casting process A type of polyurethane elastomer. It is the most widely used and the largest output of polyurethane elastomers.
(2), thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (referred to as TPU) thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer is a linear block copolymer composed of low polymer polyol soft segment and diisocyanate chain extender hard segment There are polyester type and polyether type. It accounts for about 25% of the total polyurethane elastomer.
(3), Mixed polyurethane elastomer (referred to as MPU)
Polyurethane semi-rigid polyurethane foam Polyurethane semi-rigid foam, its physical and mechanical properties are between soft and hard foam, so it can also be called “semi-soft” foam. It is used to prepare functional parts and interior decoration parts such as automobile steering wheel, armrest, secondary and bumper.
Mixing-type polyurethane elastomer is a solid raw rubber that is stable in storage, and then processed by a mixing machine to make a polyurethane elastomer with a thermosetting network molecular structure, accounting for about 10% of the total polyurethane elastomer.
According to their different properties, polyurethane elastomers are widely used in sieve plates and shakers in the mining industry; rubber rollers, tapes, and seals in the machinery industry; tires, sealing ring drive belts, and shock absorbing springs in the automotive industry; shoemaking industry Insoles, heels, insoles and other parts; medical tracheal tubes, prosthetics, skull defect repair materials, etc.
(4), microcellular elastomer The most typical application of polyurethane microcellular elastomer is the sole solution for shoemaking, which is actually a mixture of foam and elastomer. Generally speaking, the stock solution of polyurethane soles is a two-component (or three-component), and the A component is a mixture of hydroxyl-terminated polyester polyol, water, silicone oil, and possibly a glycol agent. B component is a pre-aggregate with NCO at the end, (C component is a catalyst). Polyurethane soles have many advantages: low density, soft texture, comfortable and light to wear; good dimensional stability, long storage life; excellent wear resistance and flex resistance; excellent shock absorption and anti-skid performance; good temperature resistance ; Good chemical resistance and so on. Polyurethane is mostly used in the manufacture of high-end leather shoes, sports shoes, travel shoes, etc.
