Stearyldimethicone is a solid silicone wax that melts on contact with skin due to its low softening point. It provides excellent emollience and water resistance to sunscreen formulas. Thanks to its special properties, it allows the Clear Smooth Sunscreen Formula (Formula 1) to glide smoothly and evenly on the skin while changing from a balm to an oil during application.
