Dimethicone Antifoam Characteristics
Dimethicone defoamers are finely synthesized products made from fatty alcohols, amides, polyethers and hydrocarbons. Its advantage lies in its ability to quickly penetrate into the liquid and spread rapidly, effectively eliminating stubborn foam and fine foam. Even under strong alkaline or high-temperature environments, the defoaming effect can be maintained stably. Compared with silicone defoamer, dimethicone defoamer will not leave silicon spots on the surface of equipment or products after use, thus avoiding the impact on the appearance.
Dimethicone defoamer combines chemical stability, physiological inertness and excellent high and low temperature performance. Its good water solubility, can be quickly dispersed in the water environment; pH value between 6.5 and 7.8, to ensure the stability of defoaming in extreme conditions; low additive amount, the recommended dosage of 0.001-0.003%, easy to add directly; viscosity and density is appropriate, dimethicone oil viscosity of a wide range (0.65-1,000,000mm ² / s), according to the specific needs of the product can be adjusted. The viscosity and density are suitable.

Hazard of foam
Foam generation in the industrial process may bring a variety of problems:
